Leupold scopes are also known for the long eye relief they provide. Eye relief is the distance from the eye-piece to your eye that allows you to see the entire sight picture. Leupold scopes have approximately 4 inches of eye relief. Cheaper scopes have 2.5 to 3 inches of eye relief. Short eye relief is bad, especially with powerful calibers, as the recoil from your gun can make the scope hit your face and give you a black eye. Longer eye relief also provides a more comfortable shooting position for more accurate shots.
Leupold scopes come in a variety of finishes. Matte black is the most popular, along with gloss black, silver and Earth Tone are available. Funky anodized colors are available from the Leupold custom shop.
A large variety of reticles are available on Leupold Scopes. The standard duplex is the most popular, with several variations. There are also ballistic type reticles like the Boone and Crockett, Varmint hunters and Long Range Duplex reticle, various illuminated reticles, specialty reticles for target shooters and tactical purposes. If the Leupold scope you want does not come with a reticle you desire, you can special order that scope/reticle combination through us for a nominal charge.
All Leupold scope main tubes are made from aircraft quality T6 aluminum, all scopes have second generation waterproofing, are fog proof and shock proof.

Leupold Scope Models



Leupld VX-7 and VX-7L

Leupold’s top of the line hunting scope is Leupold’s VX-7 and VX-7L. Starting with a huge 34mm diameter main tube, the VX-7/VX-7L are unlike any scope in this price range. First, the optics are precision ground and special coatings are applied that transmit important light frequencies in low light conditions. The lens edges are blacked out to reduce glare. Anti-scratch protective coatings are applied to the exterior lenses to keep your sight picture nice and clear.
The windage and elevation adjustments ‘pop’ up, so there are no covers to lose. Called the “Speedial” adjustment system, Leupold has made it dead simple to adjust your aim. That huge 34mm diameter tube allows for a large range of adjustment for windage and elevation. Another convenient feature is Leupold includes the 34mm diameter Weaver Style / PRW rings with the VX-7/ VX-7L scopes.
Leupold builds the VX-& / VX-7L to take abuse. Using a twin bias spring, this provides 30% more holding force on the erector to keep your sight picture crystal clear throughout the magnification range.
All Leupold scopes are known for their generous eye relief, and the VX7 / VX-7L takes it a step further. The long eye relief allows you to quickly obtain a full sight picture with no ‘black donut’ or blur around the edges.

Leupold VX-3 and VX-3L

Our best selling scope, the Leupold VX-3 and VX-3L use the same superb quality optics that are found in the VX-7. Low light performance in the VX-3 is excellent.
A wide variety of magnification and reticles are offered in the VX-3, including illuminated reticles. Windage and elevation adjustments are ¼ inch MOA and finger adjustable. All VX-3’s include a very nice neoprene full scope cover.
The VX-3 is available with the Customer Dial System – CDS. Simply mail the form that comes with the scope to Leupold describing the specific ballistics of the round you shoot and Leupold will custom make an elevation dial that matches. With the CDS you can quickly dial in your estimated range, eliminating the need to guess your holdover.

Leupold VX-II

The VX-II is a solid, moderately priced scope that has Leupold’s legendary toughness built in. The VX-II optics feature the Multi-Coat 4 lens system, allowing very good light transmission. Windage and elevation adjustments are ¼ inch MOA and require a coin or similar tool to adjust. A neoprene full scope cover is including with every VX-II.
Available in a number of magnifications and reticles, there’s a VX-II for most hunters who want solid performance a reasonable cost.

Leupold VX-I

The Leupold VX-I scope is a lower priced scope that does not skimp on quality. The optics feature Leupold’s standard Multi-coat system. Windage and elevation click adjustments are ¼ inch MOA and require a coin or similar tool to adjust your aim. All VX-I’s come with a neoprene full scope cover.
Available in a limited magnification range, hunters on a budget will find the VX-I will meet their needs with trouble free performance.

Leupold Rifleman

The Leupold Rifleman scope is Leupold’s economy scope, but it still has to pass the same rigorous durability tests that Leupold’s top end scopes must pass. The optics feature Leupold’s fully coated system. Windage and elevation adjustments are ½ inch MOA friction type and require a coin or similar tool to adjust. Available in a limited range of magnifications, most budget minded hunter will find a Rifleman suitable for their needs.

Leupold European Scopes

Designed for the European market, the Leupold European scopes provide very good optics and the most popular European reticles. The optics feature Leupold’s Multicoat 4 lens system, a 30mm diameter main tube, and the windage and elevation click adjustments are 1 cm MOA and require a coin or similar tool to adjust.
Available in a limited magnification range, the European scope reticles are the Duplex, fine duplex and German #4.

Leupold Fixed Power FX Scopes

For those hunters that like the simplicity of a fixed power scope, the FX-II and FX-3 scopes are for you. Incorporating the advanced lenses of the VX-3, the FX-3 will perform for you in very low light conditions. The FX-II uses the same lenses as the VX-II, providing very good light transmission at a moderate price.

For those hunters with scout rifles, the FX-II IER Scout in 2.5x28mm provides you with 9 to 17 inches of eye relief. All FX Leupold scopes are Leupold tough and come with a neoprene scope cover.

Leupold Ultralight Scopes

At about 17% lighter than full size scopes, the Leupold Ultra light scopes have all the features… Multicoat lens systems, rugged mechanical systems, waterproof and a lifetime warranty, in a lighter package. Available in 2.5x, 2-7x28mm and 3-9x33mm magnifications. Leupold Rimfire Scopes

Designed specifically for rimfire rifles, the Leupold Rimfire scopes have fine duplex reticles for precise shot placement on small targets. The 2-7x28mm scope has a parallax setting of 60 yards, and the 3-9x33mm scopes has an adjustable objective lens to let you set the parallax at any yardage you would like to shoot your 17 HMR or 22 at.

Leupold Ultimate Slam Scopes

Specially made for shotguns and muzzleloaders the Ultimate Slam scopes feature the SABR (Sabot Ballistics Reticle) to help eliminate guessing the hold-over at extended ranges. Also unique to the Ultimate Slam scopes is a special power ring selector that allows to select the load you use with the SABR reticle.

Leupold Shotgun and Muzzleloader Scopes

The standard Leupold Shotgun and Muzzleloaders scopes are designed for close in shots that shotguns and muzzleloaders are typically used for. The parallax is set for 75 yards. Available with heavy duplex, turkey plex, and illuminated circle plex (Prismatic only) reticles, these scopes will be sure perform.

Leupold Handgun Scopes

Available in fixed or variable power, Leupold handgun scopes offer generous eye relief, bright clear optics and the toughness to withstand magnum recoil shot after shot. Available in 2x20mm, 4x28mm and 2.5-8x32mm.

Leupold Air Rifle Scopes

High powered air rifles can be brutal on optics. The ‘dual’ recoil can tear apart a scope. The Leupold Air Rifle Scopes feature a twin bias spring that will tame that harsh recoil and give you years of dependable shooting. The scopes have an adjustable parallax from 10 yards to infinity to suit the air gunners needs. Available in 3-9x33mm and 6.5-20x40mm.

Leupold Competition Scopes

These high magnification, fixed power scopes are just what the serious competition shooter needs. The high magnification allows you to precisely see your target, and the fixed magnification eliminates small errors inherent in variable power scope designs. The windage and elevation adjustments are a very fine 1/8” MOA. Available in 35x45mm, 40x45mm and 45x45mm.

Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T Scope

Close Quarter Tactical, that’s the CQ/T. Designed specifically for AR and M4 type tactical rifles for close in action. Featuring a 1-3x magnification, the CQ/T is flexible enough for in-building or in-field use. An integrated mil spec rail mount is standard and a removable ARMS throw mount lever is available. Available with the illuminated Circle Dot reticle.

Leupold Mark 4 LR/T and ER/T Scopes

The Mark 4 LR/T and ER/T (Long Range Tactical and Extended Range Tactical) scopes are the scopes of choice for US military, Police SWAT teams, police departments and real serious shooters. Specifically designed to take the riggers of a combat environment and still deliver the ultimate in accuracy is what makes these scopes so popular with people who depend on their equipment for their lives.

The scopes feature tactical windage and elevation adjustments coupled with ballistic reticles designed for .223 (5.56mm) and .308 (7.62mm) rounds. Adjustable side focus parallax gets the sight picture clear and eliminates parallax error. You have a choice of M1 (1/4 MOA), M2 (1/2 MOA) and M3(1 MOA Elev, ½ MOA Wind) knobs. All knobs can be set to -0- after the rifle has been sighted in. All main tubes are 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum and 30mm diameter.

Some scopes are available with the Front Focal Plane Reticle. This means the reticle size increases with the magnification allowing you to more accurately estimate the distance to the target. Flip open lens covers come standard.

Mark 4 MR/T Scopes

The MR/T (Mid-Range Tactical) scopes are designed to cover tactical situations from 50 to 700 yards. Featuring all the toughness of the LR/T scopes, the MR/T are perfect for urban environments and hunters with 100-200 yard shot requirements.

Leupold Mark 2 Scopes

The Mark 2 takes the tough design of the LR/T and MR/T scopes and packages that in a reasonably priced scope designed for hunters. Available with M1 or M2 turrets, a wide range of magnification and reticles, the serious hunter will find a Mark 2 that fits his needs.
